Children & Youth Ministries
Welcome Children, Youth & Families!
We’re so glad that you are interested in learning more about our Children’s Ministry! Each week, through age-appropriate Sunday School classes and Sunday night youth groups, children are encouraged to worship and learn in an environment where they can belong to the family of God, grow in their relationship with Christ, learn to serve, and then go share Christ in the world!
We have a team of dedicated teachers and assistants who give of their time each week to help your children learn about God and grow to love Him more. All teachers, assistants, and youth volunteers complete a National Background Check and PA State Clearances. Also, all of our classrooms are handicap accessible. We seek to minister to all children, and provide individual aides for those children who need extra assistance in the classroom.

Nursery
**Nursery care available during all services and Sunday School**
Children from Birth to age 3
Our Nursery staff and parent partners offer a loving, safe and nurturing time for our littlest ones.
KidZone Worship/Worship Workshop
Sundays 9:00 am KIDZONE MATERIALS FOR TEACHERS
KidZone: Children Ages 4 through Grade 1 Secure Teacher Login
During the 9:00 Worship Service a special Children’s Sermon is provided. Our children (and adults too!) love to listen to the short sermon taught on the theme our Pastor will be preaching. After the Children’s Sermon, children are dismissed to KidZone Worship for a time of singing (with Chapel Choir director Mrs. Shupp), crafts, games, and Bible stories.
Worship Workshop: Children Grade 2 through Grade 5
Worship Workshop is a new worship experience for older elementary school children, following the children’s sermon. Children will learn all of the elements of Presbyterian worship, and also spend time preparing worship songs with Faithful Voices choir director, Ms. Lucas.
Children/Youth Sunday School
Sundays 10:30 am
Our dedicated Sunday School hour is intentionally structured into age-appropriate “small groups” for children from age 3 to Grade 12. We are blessed to have many gifted and committed Bible teachers who love children and serve each class from September-June. At least two adults serve in each class. New students are always welcome!
Children ages 3 through Grade 8
We are “walking” together in Christ using the David C Cook “Bible-In-Life Reformation Press” curriculum. Our children and youth are led through the Bible in a kid-friendly way, helping them to KNOW Jesus Christ personally, GROW in their faith, and SHOW others His love through service and godly choices. We have partnered using this particular curriculum for its commitment to helping children build community, celebrate diversity, teach effectively to diverse learning styles, and not forget to have FUN!
Youth in Grades 9-12
Teens meet together in our youth room along with a number of adult youth leaders. Currently we are studying the topic of Courage and applying the lessons to everyday life. Join us as we dive deeper into understanding who God is and what He has made us to be.
Confirmation Class (Grade 9 and Up)
This year Confirmation Class will be meeting on Sunday mornings from 10:30 -11:30 am. During this class we will learn what it means to be a Christian, how to study the Bible, and how to apply our faith in real life! Students will also have the opportunity to be confirmed as a member of the church at the completion of the class. Vacation Bible School
Save the date! This year’s VBS will take place July 8 -12, 2013. New this year – we will offer optional lunch bunch and extended day until 4:30 p.m.

Youth Groups
High Def – Senior High Youth Group – grades 9 through 12
Mayhem – Middle School Youth Group – grades 6 through 8
Sunday nights are devoted to our two youth groups. Starting at 5:00 pm, 3:16 Choir begins rehearsal with Mrs. Lisk. At 5:45, the youth have dinner, and then from 6:15 until 8:00 p.m., there is time for games, teaching, worship, and groups. Youth groups are led by a team of youth leaders.
